I have also seen his Renault 25 Baccara, but this is something different. As a matter-o-fact, something completely different. Like my uncle, I like big toys, and this thing is huge. Pretty comfortable, it's loaded with a whole bunch of cool stuff and is a real fun to drive. Is the engine running? Ahh, OK, I haven't noticed. Full trunk? Air suspension compensates. Manufactured 1989, this is the most sophisticated, advanced and superior full-size heavyweight luxury on the planet. This car, has no equal.

A traditional atmospheric 2.9 V6, Baccara standard. Coded Z7W 707, coupled with the AR4 automatic transmission. Both engine and transmission electronically controlled, although EFI is not sequential, but simultaneous. Notice the vacuum operated Cruise Control actuator on the top. The engine can be called reliable and durable, and modern in its time, although more sophisticated and advanced SEFI engines already existed at the time, not that different from today's standards. Rated at 110 kW and 225 Nm, the Z7W 707 is adequate for vehicle this size.

Superior ride comfort, can only be achieved thru Body-On-Frame. This concept, fundamental for large heavy cars, incorporates a steel perimeter frame - from bumper to bumper - holding all vehicle components: engine, transmission, axis, and body. Notice, body is not essential for vehicle operation, nor are the shocks. Each axle has four arms, two lower, two upper. No vibrations, no squealing, no shaking. The car does not roll on the road: it sails like a boat.
